I began to teach myself traditional bookbinding techniques while making a photo album for my parents, documenting a recent holiday we had spent together. I then began to make albums for sale and participated in designer-maker events around London and obtained book commissions.

Most of my artist's books are small, fitting in the palm of your hand. They came about because of my inability to throw bits of paper away and initially contained original photographs. Now I'm focussing on incorporating drawing and mark making work. Places and travel are frequent themes. Composition is important.
